One of the great ways to see Georgia -- or nearly anywhere in the U.S. -- is from the comfort of an RV. With no
particular schedule and the conveniences of home always just behind you, you can hit the road and take your time.
Don’t forget to stop for boiled peanuts, and if you happen to see somebody selling White Choker Sweet Potatoes at a
roadside stand, hit the brakes. You won’t find either one up north. If you’re like me and prefer to just pass through big
cities, you’ll find the town of Hampton, just south of Atlanta, a good starting point. -- J.T. Hats

Hitting the Road to the Modern Wilderness
Tripping!
If you visit only the most famous
places you'll find plenty of crowds, but
there's a lot of remote country people
skip just because it's not well known.
Don't tell anyone you found it unless
you want more company.
Hampton area communities hold a number
of RV parks that offer convenient access to both
destinations in town and natural spots where
travelers can pursue activities from hiking to
water sports. Guests can select an RV park with
basic options or all of the conveniences of home
and still not have far to travel to reach a park, golf
course or waterway.
